My wife and I were raised on Middle Eastern food. We came to the Seattle area in the early 90s from Michigan where we have a large Middle Eastern population and many wonderful Middle Eastern restaurants. We have always been surprised at the lack of Middle Eastern restaurants in the Seattle area. Determined to find at least one good Middle Eastern restaurant we turned to the net and found Kabul Afghan Cuisine. We are in Heaven. We were both amazed at the wonderful flavors and preparation of the dishes we ordered. The biggest challenge for us was deciding what to order on our first visit. The Bara Kabob Special was excellent. The lamb was perfectly cooked with a magical blend of addictive spices. The badenjan Borani that accompanied it was perfectly prepared with a beautiful play of delicate flavors. The best eggplant We have ever had!
The vegetarian Ashak was a new dish for us that was a welcome change from the run of the mill stuffed pasta. It was a perfect combination of pasta dough and filling that was bursting with flavor.
The Kabuli Palaw was a rice dish flawlessly prepared with delicate treasures of raisons and nuts and a mix of spices that create a flavor you will crave after the first bite.
The Firni is a must to top off the dining experience.
Kabul Afghan Cuisine is an excellent restaurant that we highly recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful true Middle Eastern dining experience.
